Responsibilities / Duties• Develop Strong Architecture and Design using best practices, patterns and business acumen.
• Establish technology strategy at an application level.
• Future envisioning of the product.
• Design and develop reusable components and frameworks for the software product using Object oriented methodology.
• Ensure that the application scales, and meet or exceed commitments, which span across maintainability, performance, usability, extensibility, security.
• Provide infrastructure oversight and recommendation on configuration, implementation and deployment.
• Define integration strategy with external components.
• Abreast of latest technologies & tools and put to use as and when required.
• Early risk assessment and mitigation.
• Create and manage application architecture documentations.
• Create and/or define roadmap for coding practices, design artifacts, including class diagrams, sequence diagrams, use case models, collaboration diagrams with UML and enterprise architect toolkit.
• Assist in ensuring application being developed as per architecture and design by the development team.
• Assist the team in solving the technical issues.
• Assist in post-implementation continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality.
• Leverage geographically distributed teams to design and deliver software solutions.
• Assist in estimation and planning.
• Provide periodic technology stack and best practices (design and coding) training to developers to bridge knowledge and process gaps.
• Define client requirements, Write technical specifications.
• Get involved in complex coding and mentor juniors.

• Experience in implementing the security as well as role and/or user based UI design.
• Ability to consistently perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines, all while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
• Strong experience of estimation and planning
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through; process oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in working with multi-cultural clients.
Required Technical Skills
• Must have total of 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies with at least 4 or more years of experience in system architecting and designing of web applications.
• Experience with JDBC, Hibernate/JPA, JSP/Servlets, JavaScript and Spring.
• Experience with MS-SQL Server 2005 and good knowledge of RDBMS concepts.
• Experience of Framework such as Struts 2, JQuery and Apache CXF.
• Experience with Junit/Unitels, Webservices.
• Experience with Tomcat 5+, Eclipse IDE will be an added advantage.
• Experience w/Code versioning systems (CVS, SVN) will be an added advantage.
