Job Description	Conducts complex software product research leading to new or improved products to maintain the company’s competitive position and profitability. Will lead the engineering organization in developing and applying one or more advanced technologies into new product developments.
Desired Profile	- Should be able to provide technical leadership to the engineering development team for implementation of product requirements to ensure functional and non-functional expectation from the deliverables are met with production worthy quality. - Major experience in C on Linux/Unix platform coupled with exposure to Windows platform using VC++ compiler - Should have expert level understanding of OS and Networking fundamentals (sound theoretical knowledge coupled with practical experience on Unix): - Should have knowledge of SNMP v3.0 - Advance knowledge and experience on Linux/Unix Internals (System calls, Socket programming, Multi-threading using pthreads) with some exposure to Linux device driver programming - Knowledge of GTK Framework - Shell or Perl scripting - Expertise in source code control, branching, build and release process - Expertise in root cause analysis and problem resolution of defects, including usage of debuggers like gbd - Should be conversant with some memory profiling tools such as Valgrind, memprof, firefence, etc. - Should be conversant with code analysis tools such as Coverity/Klocwork or some other tools
