Experience : 15 - 20 Years Location : Mumbai Education : UG - LLB - Law PG - LLM - Law Industry Type : Construction/ Engineering/Cement/Metals Functional Area : Legal Posted Date : 29 Mar Job Description Key Responsibilities include: 1.Drafting and vetting of various agreements such as:    -Construction Contracts & Sub-Contracts,     -Supply & Services Agreements,    -Joint Venture Agreements,    -O&M Contracts and     -Equipment Leasing / Working Capital Loan Documents; 2. Contractual risk evaluation at Tendering stage and recommend mitigation measures; 3.  Independently strategize, negotiate, and finalize agreements with counter parties; 4. Initiate / defend and pursue Legal Proceedings including briefing external Legal Counsels, prepare Case for Opinions, settling Plaints, Written Statements, Writ Petitions etc.; 5. Proficiency in handling high-value litigations & arbitration matters; 6. Undertake comprehensive research on Case Laws and latest amendments to relevant laws; 7. Interacting with other functions / departments for all matters that may give rise to legal team’s role; and From time to time, impart training and hold interactive sessions with other departments.   The candidate need to have working exposure in leagl fucntion of a Infrastructure/ EPC/ Construction Company.   The position reports to the President- Legal (Mumbai Office for WITL) Desired Candidate Profile Desired Job Profile:   1. Well versed with commercial laws especially Contract Act, Arbitration Act, C.P.C., Cr.P.C., Labour Laws and laws related to infrastructure sector; 2. Sound commercial acumen; 3. Strong Litigation background (both civil & criminal matters);  and excellent communication skills in drafting / negotiations; 4.
