r SQL Engineer FactSet Systems India Private Limited Experience : 3 - 6 Years Location : Hyderabad / Secunderabad Education : UG - B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization PG - M.Tech - Any Specialization Industry Type : IT-Software/ Software Services Functional Area : Application Programming, Maintenance Posted Date : 01 Apr Job Description Job Responsibilities   • Design, implement and support new SQL databases used by internal collection applications • Develop features in SQL within our workflow application • Assists in migration and integration of databases and processes from legacy systems to new applications and new technologies • Define and implement maintenance utilities for database availability and scalability • Work as a team with France based engineers   Desired Candidate Profile Job Requirements • Develop SQL code used in stored procedures, triggers, SSIS, etc. • Participate in design, documentation of design, implementation of methodologies to ensure high quality software, database scalability and database maintenance. • Support of SQL Server production databases. • Performs software maintenance and bug fixes as needed. • Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the performance issues on the databases. • Ensure code is well written, maintainable and efficient. • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency. • Able to work with minimum supervision on day to day work, and achieve results when presented with only general instructions on new assignments.   Highly Desired   • Min. 3 years of experience as a SQL developer and/or database administrator. • Analytical skills with algorithmic implementation experience. • DBA knowledge of Microsoft SQL server including SQL2000/2005, MySQL is a plus. • Strong knowledge of structured SQL development: SQL language, query optimizer mechanisms, execution plan architecture. • Knowledge of .NET framework, C# or VB.NET, ASP.NET, or an equivalent experience in C++ programming is a plus to work with databases front-end applications. • Rigorous, pay attention to details. • Communication skills / Write clear emails.   Company Profile FactSet combines hundreds of databases into a single, powerful information system.
