Job Description The Estimates Engineering Department at FactSet designs and develops tools to improve the quality of collected data as well as the productivity of FactSet research analysts.
The engineering team’s goal is to improve the existing internal collection applications and related tools to make sure our client get the best quality of data, with the best timeliness.
We are seeking an engineer who is very strong in C/C++ and wants to develop challenging tools.
Function/Purpose
• Manage the local team in Hyderabad
• Work as a team with France based engineers and with Indian based engineers
• Plan developments with the Remote Manager
• Participate in the maintenance and development of the application (C++)
• Apply our own development methods and norms |

Desired Candidate Profile Responsibilities
• Build a motivated team in Hyderabad
• Act as a relay of the Remote Manager, give regular feedback
• Prepare reliable development plans and make sure deadlines are met
• Ensure development methods and norms are applied by team members
• Ensure that the code is well written, maintainable and efficient
• Organize team meetings
Requirements
• At least 2-3 years of experience managing a team
• Good C and C++ knowledge, min. 3 years of programming experience.
• Strong Communication skills / Write clear emails.
• Rigorous, pay attention to details.
• Knowledge of SQL/Databases is a plus.
