Detail Description :
This role will be supporting Oracle's Exadata benchmarking efforts.
This role requires expert level experience in Oracle Database Technology including:
-Parallel processing - both unix and database parallel technologies
-Movement and loading of LARGE quantities of data -SQL tuning, database monitoring and tuning, application tuning
-RAC experience highly desirable
-Expertise in partitioning and Oracle compression technologi! es
-Load Generation tools such as Mercury, RAT.
-Ability to scope and define benchmark projects
This person would be required to participate in benchmarking efforts for Oracle Database. This would involve loading large quantities of data, converting and tuning database scripts, performance tuning databases and running benchmarking tests.
The candidate needs to have prior exposure to tuning large databases, data loading and good understanding of Oracle database internals. Any previous experience with benchmarking is a big plus. Candidates with non Oracle benchmarking experience (Teradata etc) would also be considered
