Title: Director, Human Resources Business Partner(HRBP)

Job Description:



The Director, Human Resource Business Partner will work closely with the business unit General Manager - India and the leadership team to drive talent acquisition and talent management, leadership capability, engagement, and retention throughout the India team. The Director will also lead a local team of Human Resources staff.

Outcomes expected include innovative solutions to:

• obtaining best in class people engagement

• creating and executing talent plans right for the business

• building capability for career opportunities for people who work in the BU

• leading a high performing HR staff



The Director is responsible for:

• Partnering with the India GM and other leaders to ensure business strategies and priorities lead to the right talent planning, acquisition, learning, and retention results.

• Partnering with the India GM and other leaders to make decisions about how to organize around the work, and adapt studio strategies/plans where appropriate.

• Driving talent operating mechanisms across the studios including all the disciplines and functional areas (ie: performance management, organization and talent reviews, and pay for performance calibration)

• Coaching studio leaders and people or project managers on talent planning and effectively leading and managing their teams, projects, contractors and vendors effectively.

• Implementing and driving initiatives that impact talent retention, engagement, and career development.

• Working cooperatively with the BU HR team including the business partners, learning & development and talent acquisition teams to deliver offerings in support of the business.

• Helping leaders understand levers that drive engagement, foster an inclusive environment, and create a great experience for people working in the BU.

• Ensuring necessary transactional activities and processes are delivered in an efficient, easy to use manner (Total Rewards, Immigration, Relocation, Compensation planning, etc).

• Ensuring necessary administrative tasks are managed in a timely fashion with a high level of accuracy (HRIS entries, Leave administration, New Hire and Termination paperwork, etc).

• Documenting and communicating status, issues, risks, and recommendations in a timely manner to studio stakeholders, the HR team and the executive team.

 

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE / BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE

• Proven leader of high performing HR teams that created high value to the business.

• 8 -12 Years of relevant HR Generalist experience, ideally from Design  Engineering/ IT/ Telecom/ Technology MNCs.

• BS/BA in Management, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or equivalent experience. MBA/PGDM - HR  from Premier Management Institutes.

• Competent in HR functional areas (talent planning and management, learning & development, benefits, people engagement, employee relations, rewards and recognition etc.)

• Demonstrated HR business partner skills.

• Knowledge and experience with team dynamics, organizational development and design applications, and process excellence.

• Knowledge of applicable employment laws, compensation philosophies and HR operating mechanisms.

• Systems and process capabilities. 6 Sigma Black Belt is ideal.

• Capability to work in a global organization and business unit.

• Strategic Thinker, strong Hands on HR Leader with experience in HR Policies & Process, willing to take initiatives and get the things done on his/her own.

• A People’s Person, who is Open, Highly Self – Motivated, Willing to learn, Creative and ready to go the extra mile always.

• Prefer people with experience in a Global HR role, involved in regular interactions and working with global counterparts.

• Understands and models the importance of having the right stakeholders involved in obtaining shared vision before execution.
