•Manage operation of utilities including Instrument Air compressors, N2 Systems (cylinders/ generators), Cooling Towers, Gas boosting systems eg. H2 System (Cylinders/ Generators), General Gases, Liquid N2 Storage, Central Alarm Panel, FA/PA Systems, Lab Hoods, Scrubbing Systems
•Manage execution of maintenance/ revamp projects (Management of Change, Line Breaking etc.) with required safety systems (eg. LOTO, engineering controls, administrative controls, portable detection etc)
•Equipment Appraisal for new equipments procures at site/ user groups.
•Implement and ensure safe procedures
•Facilitate periodic Inspections needed for all equipment
•Interface with Vendors and C&P on behalf of the lab groups and Pilot plant users
•Leverage technical expertise to identify alternate vendors for annual maintenance contracts, service contracts and procurement of equipment, chemicals and gases.
•Responsible for tracking key performance indicators of contractors
•Responsible for developing and implementing Asset tracking practices and documentation in an EOU environment
•Leverage technical expertise to schedule and manage preventive maintenance as per schedules.
•Manage Calibration activities including temperature, pressure, flow, weight and noise measurement.
•Oversee maintenance and services for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation in a Chemical Environment. Requirements: •B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
•A minimum of 3 years experience in a laboratory environment preferable in an R&D or petrochemical environment preferably on Pilot Plants and associated systems
•Fully aware of requirements for safely working in a laboratory/ Pilot Plant environment and experience in implementing HSE controls for laboratory/ Pilot plant activities
•High energy with a Can- do attitude;
•Experience with implementing Permit-to-Work systems for high risk activities in a chemical environment work-at-height, line breaking etc.
•Fully aware of PPE selection and usage for various high risk activities
•Direct experience with use and maintenance of Ex-proof equipment
•Authorization to work in India is required for this position Desirable: •Experience with flammable and toxic chemicals with knowledge of chemical compatibilities and MSDS requirements for hazardous substances
•Knowledge of material handling equipment for chemicals
•Knowledge of PLC, automation and associated programming desirable
•Quality assurance programs and lab record documentation;
•Experience and certification in Fire Fighting, Compression fittings tubings (eg. Swagelok tubing) is desirable
•The applicant should demonstrate good communication skills in English, Hindi and Kannada and be comfortable in team-oriented, collaborative environment.
