The Key responsibilities of the role include:
• Provide technical support for quality control, process improvement, cost savings, process development projects, new product launches, equipment qualifications, and process validations.
• Make proposals/recommendations with regards to capital equipment purchases, cost reduction opportunities, and Supplier/Vendor selection.
• Coordinate the design of manufacturing models and drawings.
• Develop and/ or modify gauge and fixture designs.
• Contact and coordinate outside vendors in the development and or delivery of new products or processes; act in a role as a Product or Systems Engineer.
• Work with the product development team, vendors, etc. to develop novel manufacturing processes, as demanded by the product design.
• Identify required production equipment, make prototypes, validate equipment and processes, ie. CNC, CMM, Lathes, Drill Press, etc.
• Ensure proper and continuous operation of the manufacturing equipment and systems.
