��� This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
��� Responsible for managing not less than 10 staff accountants and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that the departmental objectives are achieved.
��� This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
PREREQUISITES OF THE JOB INCLUDE:
��� Responsible for Accounting of all transactions – Sales, Material, General, Cost and P&L.
��� Submits - monthly and yearly management financial statements (cash flow, balance sheet, income statement with variance analysis, ratio analysis, consolidated financial statements) and performance analysis reports in a timely manner, and ensures compliance with IFRS.
��� Maintain an effective and efficient system of internal controls and ensures compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
��� Ensure credit policies are complied with in respect of both receivables and payables and to this end manage the cash flow. Manages the debt collection process
��� Liaise with banks and closely monitor cash / fund flow.
��� Responsible for developing the Business Unit Financial Budgets relating to Sales, Materials, Utilities, Costs and projected P&L in consonance with the Annual Business Unit plan.
��� Invite periodic audits of systems, accounting records and accounting practices with a view to improve accounting, fix account abilities and tighten leakages.
��� Prepares and coordinates with the External and Internal Auditors Act as a liaison with the banks
Handles the update of Financial Software
| | Desired Candidate Profile ��� PRE QUALIFICATIONS:
��� Minimum 7 years experience in similar position in an FMCG company of medium size or larger
��� Should have Strong interpersonal, communications, and administration skills
��� Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
��� Should have pursued one of the following qualifications CA,CPA, CFA, CMA
