| Job Description | Design, implement, document, and execute performance benchmarking tests for embedded RAID disk array storage controllers, disk drives, host management software and other storage solution components, including evaluation of competitors' performance data. Analyze and report statistical performance data of RAID storage products in a multi-vendor system environment, detect and isolate performance problems, document these problems and work with development engineers across many engineering disciplines to drive closure on fixes. Supervise and direct student test engineers B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree. 5+ years of relevant work experience in the Test field. Qualification should include experience in defining test methodology and test strategy for the certification of a RAID system or software product. Also, qualifications should include O/S experience in at least four of the following: Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Solaris (2.6 thru 2.9), and Linux (RedHat, SUSE). Must have programming skills using Windows and UNIX scripts, batch files, Thorough knowledge and experience in RAID Storage Technology (DAS, and SAN), system logging and log data analysis, Fibre channel knowledge, and basic iSCSI and SATA protocol knowledge. Experience with SAS, Fibre Channel I/O protocol and analyzers, disk array products, 1. Testing Knowledge 2. RAID Technology 3. Knowledge on SMIS, CIM and SNMP testing 4. Automation Scripting 5.
