Job Description	The profile for this position is for a seasoned legal + secretarial + compliances professional who besides the core legal and secretarial responsibilities will function more like a business partner to the individual group companies within the CUMMINS, India umbrella. The CUMMINS group, in India, consists of approximately 15 independent business facilities, having multiple, multi product and multi locational manufacturing plants. The multiple group companies service different product and industry segments across all aspects of the Indian manufacturing scenario. This senior legal professional will assist the HEAD - Legal for the CUMMINS group in terms of proactive inputs for the legal portfolio inclusive of compliance reporting etc. Besides assistance on a macro basis, this individual will independently handle the complete secretarial + legal + compliance portfolio for some individual group companies. The role is not so much of a traditional legal + contract vetting + litigation personality, but more of an individual who is well aware of the business environment in totality and adds value from a proactive point of view from the legal perspective..... In this context, the mandate will consist of advisory functions in terms of structuring potential contracts / business situations in an effort to take care of the commercial interest + regulatory environment and also to pro actively avoid potential legal / litigation linked situations.
