Analyst - Storage (EMC) Eaton Technologies Pvt Ltd Experience : 2 - 6 Years Location : Pune Education : UG - Any Graduate - Any Specialization PG - Any PG Course - Any Specialization Industry Type : Construction/ Engineering/Cement/Metals Functional Area : IT-Other Posted Date : 14 Apr Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION: This is a technical position that requires the individual to….. • Understand a wide range of enterprise infrastructure technology, software and business objectives. • Ensure that the technical infrastructure is optimized for supportability, stability and security. • Provide technical support and maintenance for all requirements relating to SAN and NAS environments. • Able to follow and execute incident, problem and change management processes and procedures • Contribute to the teams out-of-hrs on-call support responsibilities at weekends. • Participate in Storage infrastructure projects to ensure delivery within time and budget. • Ensure that strategic infrastructure goals are accomplished in line with business objectives. • Ideally have 3-5 years relevant experience in storage environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: A. Work closely with customers and infrastructure teams on Incident Management resolution. B. Work closely with managers and infrastructure teams on Data Center and remote-sites support requirements and standards. C. Ensure delivery of a reliable, supportable IT infrastructure that is compatible with business needs across applications, technologies, and facilities D. Performs troubleshooting techniques on storage processes, applications, and hardware making any recommendations for improvement.   Desired Candidate Profile •Experience of working with backup applications such as Netbackup/Backup Exec/Avamar. •Experience of working with backup media technologies such as Storagetek and DataDomain. •Experience of provisioning storage capacity on EMC hardware such as DMX and Clariion frames. •Experience of working with EMC applications such as ECC/Ionix; TimeFinder; Navisphere; Connectrix Manager. •Knowledge of Unix/Linux OS fundamentals •Knowledge of Windows/VMware technologies •Knowledge of Incident/Problem/Change Management applications Company Profile Eaton Corporation is a diversified power management company with 2010 sales of $13.7 billion.
