Desired Candidate Profile

Education & Relevant Experience :
BE Mech/Auto in Machine Designing with 10 to 13 years of Automotive Design experience


Preferred: ME in Machine Designing with 9 to 10 years of experience in design of Suspension Systems /Braking /Chassis / Drive Train of Commercial vehicals


Knowledge and Skills :

Business Understanding of automotive business, administration, Manufacturing process & product.

Knowledge of vehicle engineering & dynamics, finace, drafting & drawing, latest CAD tools, CAE, Validation of Design, product build, Damage Correlation Software, DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, SQAtechnology, Analytical thinking & customer focus

Job Description

1) New Project Development

a) To evaluate & build concept design & submit it to BD & customers

b) To interact with Technology Partners & update them with all new developments & take approval to develop new business

2) Program Management:

a) To plan & allocate resources

b) To review & approve designs at various stages & with customers & Partner to develop business for the organization

3) Product Design

a) To plan activities & assign to the subordinates.

b) To priorities the activities & review, check & approve the tasks completed

c) To check, validate & approve FEA.

d) To verify document as per TS, APQP & SPPD

e) To check & submit the documents to customers

to ensure correct and feasible designs per customer requirement

4) Application Engineering

a) To convince the customers to accept the existing product with minimum changes to expand the scope of current products.



5) Support Product Engineering

a) To review deviations & estimate the risk involved, to control & update CAD data

6) APQP Management

a) Ensure phase wise activity as defined in APQP document for each product to systematic and flawless introduction of the product

7) Skill development of team members

a) To map the skill matrix of team members

b) To recommend the training need identified for them to the HR to enhance current skill & future development of team members.
